Five wins in a row. The Samsung Lions are back in full force.

Samsung won the second game of a doubleheader against the Doosan Bears 7-3 on Wednesday at Samsung Lions Park in Daegu, South Korea.

The doubleheader was made necessary after the 22nd game was canceled due to rain.

Two additional players will be allowed to register for the doubleheader. “It’s just the last minute,” Samsung manager Park Jin-man explained.

Samsung added pitcher Jung-hyun Baek and outfielder 카지노사이트 David McKinnon.

Baek started the year with two games before being sidelined on April 4 with a calf muscle injury. After recovering and undergoing a practice session, Baek will make his return on April 23.

Foreign hitter McKinnon is also back from injury. After being hit by a pitch against the LG Twins on April 12, McKinnon returned to the disabled list with 10 days to recover.

Baek, who was hoping to take over the starting role, made a successful comeback. Starting the second game of the doubleheader, Baek threw a mix of sliders (25), changeups (23), curves (11) and sinkers (2) with his fastball topping out at 142 mph.

After a scoreless first inning, Baek gave up back-to-back RBI singles to Kang Seung-ho and Kim Ki-yeon in the top of the second, but got out of the inning without further damage.

The top of the third inning was a bit of a struggle. After giving up back-to-back singles to Lee Yoo-chan and Yang Ji, he gave up a walk to Kim Jae-hwan. Kang Seung-ho walked to load the bases and Kim Ki-yeon hit a sacrifice fly to score a run, but Park Jun-young grounded out to shortstop to end the inning.

The fourth and fifth innings were scoreless. In the meantime, the bats provided seven runs, and Baek Jung-hyun was replaced by Choi Ji-kwang in the top of the sixth with the game-winning run.

While Jung-hyun Baek was dominating on the mound, another returning player, McKinnon, was also showing off her bat.

After collecting just a walk and an RBI in game one of the doubleheader, McKinnon really came into her own in game two. She hit a bases-loaded double in the first inning and added an RBI single with two outs in the third.

In the fourth inning, he came through again. With the bases loaded, he lined a double down the left-field line for his fourth RBI.

After a strikeout in the bottom of the sixth, McKinnon drove in the game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Stepping up to the plate with the bases loaded, McKinnon hit a double to right-center field, scoring all three runners. McKinnon tied for the most hits in a game (four) and had the most RBIs in a game (seven).

The returning player’s performance led Samsung to a 10-4 victory. Baek Jung-hyun made his first start in 311 days since Aug. 17, 2023, against LG Electronics in Daegu.

Five straight wins, sweeping all three games of the weekend. The team improved to 43 wins, 1 draw and 32 losses on the season, good for second place.
