Tyler Glasnow (LA Dodgers) was out of action due to a back injury. He also lost his first All-Star chance.
The Dodgers placed Glasnow on the 15-day injured list on the 10th (Korea Standard Time) due to back pain that had been bothering him over the weekend.
Glasnow is considered the ace in many ways, but his weak characteristic as a “glass body” is one of his weaknesses. He has never met a regular innings in seven years since his Major League debut in 2016. Nevertheless, 120 innings pitched in Tampa Bay last year is considered the longest innings in a season since his debut. He expected to break the record for the most innings this season, but even that has become uncertain.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said he hopes Glasnow returns from the All-Star break.
In the end, his first All-Star appearance was canceled. Cincinnati’s Hunter Green will take his place.
