Mainz, which started Lee Jae-sung, fell to Freiburg in the German professional soccer Bundesliga, extending its winless streak to three games.

Mainz lost 0-1 at home against Leipzig in the 13th round of the 2023-2024 Bundesliga at the Meba Arena in Mainz, Germany, on Thursday (Sept. 4).

After a late-season come-from-behind victory in Round 10, Mainz went winless (0-0-1-1) in Rounds 11 and 12, and the loss was their third straight (two draws, one loss).

The result leaves Mainz with a record of one win, five draws and seven losses (eight points) and 17th place in the Bundesliga’s 18-team relegation zone.

Lee Jae-sung, who started as an attacking midfielder, played until the final 30 minutes but came off without a point.

According to Sofascore, Lee had a 6.5 rating on the day, with no shots on goal, an 81% passing success rate, and one key pass.

Mainz attempted 20 shots on goal, but showed poor decision-making, failing to find the back of the net once, and conceded a late goal to Freiburg’s Michael Gregoric in the 25th minute.

Meanwhile, midfielder Hwang In-beom, who plays for Serbian professional soccer side Zvezda, started and played the full match against Napredak in the 16th round of the 2023-2024 regular season, helping the team to a 1-0 victory.

Hwang made three key passes and completed 86 percent of his passes, earning him a 7.5 rating from Sofascore, the third-highest on the team. 사설토토
