Casino sales of Grand Korea Leisure (GKL), which operates foreigner-only casinos in South Korea, rose 30.2 percent year-on-year in March to slightly below 38.7 billion won, according to data submitted to the Korea Exchange on Monday. The latest monthly tally rose 5.2 percent month-on-month.

In the recently reported month, table game sales topped W35.77 billion, up 28.1 percent from the same period a year earlier and up 4.3 percent sequentially. Machine game sales topped W2.92 billion, up 62.0 percent from a year ago and up 18.8 percent month-on-month.

The company did not comment on the two reasons for the changes.

The company is a subsidiary of the Korea Tourism Organization under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
