The women’s professional volleyball team, IBK, has fallen into a losing streak.

IBK Enterprise Bank, led by head coach Kim Ho-cheol, lost 1-3 (25-22 25-27 20-25 23-25) at home to Heungkuk Life Insurance, the leader of the second round of the Dodram 2023-2024 Season V League Women’s Division, at 토토사이트 Hwaseong Gymnasium in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea on Monday afternoon.

With the loss, IBK dropped to 2-5 (5 points) and remained at the bottom of the league standings with their second straight defeat.

On the day, IBK took the first set but dropped back-to-back sets. Especially in the fourth set, the team led until the middle and late stages of the game, and then lost the match due to a major lapse in concentration.

Coach Kim Ho-cheol said after the loss, “We need to connect points when we have decisive chances. Today, we fell a little short. We need to score points when it comes our way. We should have finished the game, but it was difficult.”

“We haven’t changed much. We have to coordinate with our attackers in terms of accuracy when we are defending and counterattacking. You have to be focused, and I think we lost a little bit.”

As for Kim’s performance, she said, “I don’t think I’m at 50 percent. I still need to adjust. I need to play and feel that my knee is okay. I think it will get better with time.”

Hwang Min-kyung, who returned from injury, said, “In the third set, my stamina dropped, and I still don’t have enough energy to play full-time. I need to make up for it with my technique and keep adapting.”

Kim also said, “I was very worried before the second match against Heungkuk Life. I thought we would lose a lot of points, but the players seem to be in good shape, including their physical strength. If we can win with determination, I think the team will become stronger as the rounds go on.”
