Giants’ Lee Jung-hoo has 1st multihit game in 2 weeks; Padres’ Kim Ha-seong held hitless

For the first time in more than two weeks, Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants has submitted a multihit effort.Lee batted 2-for-4 from the leadoff spot, though the Giants only managed five hits in total in their 6-1 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Monday (local time).Lee leads the Giants with 34 hits this season as a rookie.His previous multihit game had come on April 20 against the Arizona Diamondbacks, 14 games ago.Lee had seen his batting average drop from .289 to .244 over those 14 games, but it inched up to .252 after Monday’s game.

Lee led off the game with a single off starter Zack Wheeler. He flied out in the third and the sixth innings, before getting a single against reliever Matt Strahm in the eighth.Lee has now hit safely in five of six games so far in May, though he’s only batting .222 for the month.Only two other Giants, LaMonte Wade Jr. and Wilmer Flores, managed a hit in this loss. Also on Monday, Kim Ha-seong of the San Diego Padres went 0-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in their 6-3 win over the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago.Kim’s batting average dipped to .209, his lowest point since April 9, but Kim leads the Padres with 메이저 22 walks
