SSG decides to expel ‘bat assault’ Lee Won-jun…top discipline
The SSG Landers, a professional baseball team, has decided to expel pitcher Lee Won-jun, who was accused of bat assault, from its secondary team and requested a waiver from the Korean Baseball Organization (KBO).
The SSG Landers announced today (Nov. 13) that they have decided to take the strongest sanction available to the club, expulsion, as they believe the incident is a serious matter that hinders the development of professional baseball.
The club added that it plans to take action against the other two players who ordered the ejection based on the outcome of the KBO’s punishment committee and will announce follow-up measures, including measures to prevent recurrence, in the near future.
