Iran Express’ Hagparast was selected by Woori Card as the first overall player.

Outside hitter Ali Hagparast (Iran) was selected by Woori Card as the first overall pick in the 2024 KOVO (Korea Volleyball Federation) Men’s Asia Quarter Draft held at the Grand Ballroom of Sun Hotel in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province on the 3rd.

This draft nomination ranking was conducted with the same probability (14.28%) for 7 clubs. The lucky first place went to Woori Card. Kim Jae-heon, Woori Card’s head coach, went up to the podium without delay and called Hagparast.

OK Financial Group, which qualified second, strengthened its strength by appointing outside hitter Zhang Binglong (China/OH/196.3cm).

In third place, KB Insurance nominated Australian outside hitter Max Staples (193.5 cm). He was the player that new coach Miguel Rivera had his eye on.

Samsung Fire & Marine Insurance ranked 4th. Coach Kim Sang-woo selected Ali Fazli (Iran/199.9cm), who can play both as an opponent spiker and an outside hitter. The main position is Apogee Spiker.

Hyundai Capital, ranked 5th, selected Chinese outside hitter Deng Xinfeng (203.9 cm).

Korean Air, which received the sixth-ranked pick, strengthened its strength with Iranian apothecary spiker Maref Moradi (197.8 cm). He was given the task of filling the gap left by Lim Dong-hyuk, who joined the Sangmu Department.

As the final 7th choice, KEPCO selected Japanese setter Nakano Yamato (177.9cm).
